Schools to remain closed post March 29
Schools will remain closed post March 29 as efforts continue amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Minister for Education Joe McHugh confirmed the decision had been made, with confirmation expected to be given either today or tomorrow.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announced Thursday, March 12 that all schools- both primary and secondary, colleges and universities, as well as all childcare facilities will close in response attempts being made to curb the continued spread of the coronavirus.
There have been 1,125 cases of coronavirus confirmed Ireland.
To date six people with Covid-19 have died.
