Outbreaks of rain will continue to clear northwards this morning with some localised flooding. The rain will become largely confined to Ulster and Connacht by around midday. Bright spells and scattered showers elsehwhere, some possibly heavy. A mild day with highs of 13 to 17 degrees in light to moderate southeast breezes.

Showers will merge to longer spells of rain in parts of the west and southwest tonight, with some heavy bursts possible. It'll be drier elsewhere with clear spells and just passing showers. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees with mostly light breezes allowing areas of mist and fog to develop.

Outbreaks of rain will develop in the east and north on Friday morning with the potential for heavy and prolonged falls leading to localised flooding. The rain will be patchier elsewhere at first, but will turn more persistent later in the day. Turning cooler across the north of the country with highs of 10 to 12 degrees, afternoon temperatures ranging 13 to 15 degrees elsewhere. Strong northwest winds along the southwest coast but moderate to fresh northeast winds in other areas.
