Road projects on the list

Almost half of planned road restorations in Cavan-Belturbet Municipal District area have not yet started, councillors were told at their last meeting.

Work on four of the nine projects listed under the Restoration Improvement Programme 2023 has yet to start, with four more listed as being between 10 and 30 per cent complete.

Only one of the nine projects is substantially complete.

The four projects where no work has taken place, but is scheduled to happen in 2023, are the R2050 Doon (Ed Ballyconnell) Ballyconnell Main Street; L15180 Knockateery-Drumbrawn; L25380 Cock Hill (Dunne Store to Gaelscoil); and L10300 Bawnboy-Erraran (Marsh Road).

Work is 30% complete at R2012 Killeshandra-Milltown; L15080 Drumerdannan-Derryvackny; and L502310 Tullyloughfin/ Altachullion Upper; and 10 per cent complete at L55380 Latt-Keadew.

Work is nearing completion - at 70 per cent - on the R2003 Tullynacross-Dunmkeever.
