Home carer makes shortlist for award
A Meath/Cavan-based home carer has been honoured for her fantastic work in the community during a special day of celebrations at leading home care provider ‘Comfort Keepers’.
Cynthia Emefiele from Navan was announced as a finalist for the Comfort Keepers Carer of the Year 2023 award for her dedication and passion for her work and for making a positive impact on her clients’ daily lives - some of whom live in County Cavan.
Following the selection based on set criteria, Cynthia was chosen as one of 11 finalists in the running for the prestigious accolade of Comfort Keepers Carer of the Year 2023. Collette Gleeson, managing director of Comfort Keepers Ireland, said: “Our teams all across the country are made up of amazing individuals providing outstanding support and uplifting, in-home care to the most vulnerable in our society and their families. Cynthia goes above and beyond for her clients and is a great representative for Comfort Keepers and our quality care.”
Additionally, fellow home support worker, Verina Walsh from Drumconrath received recognition awards for her 10 years of service with the company.
