Anna Rose McDonald

Corlaghaloo, Belturbet, Cavan

Anna Rose McDonald, Corlaghaloo, Belturbet, Co. Cavan and Oak View Private Nursing Home, Belturbet 5th July 2023, peacefully at Cavan Gerneral hospital surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Susan, brothers Patsy and Brian and sister Kathleen.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, brothers Michael (Redhills) and Francis (Canada), sisters Maureen (England), Teresa (Ballyconnell), Philomena (Las Vegas) and Breda (Dublin), aunt Rose, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, fellow residents and staff of Oak View, relatives and Friends.

Rest in Peace.

Remains will be reposing at Lawlors Funeral Home, Ernehill, Belturbet Eircode (H14 R583) this Thursday evening from 6pm until evening prayers at 8pm. Funeral mass on Friday, 7th July, at 12 noon in St. Patrick’s Church, Drumalee with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Main Street, Kilnaleck, Cavan

Peadar O' Brádaigh, Main Street, Kilnaleck and formerly Lavagh, Ballyheelan, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan. Tuesday July 4th (suddenly) after a long illness. Predeceased by his wife Mella. He will be sadly missed by his daughters Catherine (Vincent) and Ruth (Matthew), son Eamon (Shari), sister Betty (Bill), brother Paddy (Eileen), grandchildren; Kate, Maria, Darragh, Emer, Mella, Íosa and Javed, nieces, nephews, Mary & Felipe Mendez-Downes, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing on Thursday at 'Lár Na Páirce', Lavagh, Kilnaleck (A82 N2H3) from 12 noon to 5pm followed by removal to St. Patrick's Church, Kilnaleck (A82 K023) arriving at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ballinarry (A82 Y825). Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to the Cavan Alzheimer's Society c/o Briody's Funeral Home, Kilnaleck.

Annie (Nannie) Shiels

(née Brady)

Glan, Kilcogy, Cavan / Longford

Annie (Nannie) Shiels died on Wednesday 5th July 2023. Suddenly at her home, heartbroken after the death of her husband Sonny who died recently. Predeceased by her brothers Patrick, Eugene and Johnny. Sadly missed by her loving children Brenda (Sean), P. J. (Kathleen), Sean (Dolores), Rose (Albert), Christy (Dymphna), Paul (Mairead), her adored grandchildren, Sister Sr. Rose, brothers Jimmy, Michael, and Joe, sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May Annie rest in peace.

Reposing at her home on Thursday evening from 6 pm. until 9pm. (N39HH67).

House strictly private at all other time.

Removal from her home on Friday evening arriving Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mullahoran at 8 pm. (N39HN84). Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11 am. Interment afterwards in local cemetery.

Canon Philip Connolly

Annyalla, Monaghan

The peaceful death has occurred of Rev Canon Philip Connolly retired PP. of Annyalla, Clontibret and Doohamlet parish. July 5th 2023 in the loving care of the staff at St. Anne’s Nursing Home, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan. Formerly Drumod, Latton, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Mary Elizabeth Connolly, Brothers Jim, Matt, Pete and John, Sisters Nan, Ena, Josie, Cassie, Angela and Madge. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his family Brother Rev Fr. Vincent (Magherarney), Pat (Carrickmacross), sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, and a large circle of friends, Bishop Larry Duffy, and all the priests of the Diocese of Clogher where he ministered. A special thanks to his carers and housekeepers.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill, Co. Cavan (Eircode H16 FD25) on Thursday afternoon from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Funeral cortège leaving Funeral Home on Thursday at 4 pm to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Annyalla where Canon Philip will repose from 6pm. Requiem mass on Friday morning at 12 noon, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Corlea, Magheracloone, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Peter (P.J.) Courtney, Corlea, Magheracloone, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at his home and surrounded by his loving family, 5th July 2023.

Predeceased by his parents Laurence & Margaret, brother Vincent and nephew Stephen. Deeply regretted by his wife Eileen, daughter Eimear, sons David and Ciarán, son-in-law Anthony, Ciarán’s partner Emily, beloved grandchildren Conor, Óran, Ciára & Fionn. Sadly missed by his sisters Betty (U.K.), Margaret (Cumiskey), brothers Pat, John and Gerald, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home (A82R3W2), Hall Street, Kingscourt on Thursday, 6th July, from 4 pm until 7 pm. Removal on Friday morning, 7th July, from his home at 10.30am to arrive at St. Peter and Paul's Church, Lower Magheracloone for funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
