Emergency services at scene of N87 accident

Diversions in place.

The N87 between Ballyconnell and Bawnboy is currently closed to traffic following a serious road traffic accident this morning.

Multiple ambulance dispatches have been sent to the scene, and other emergency services- fire and gardaí- are also in attendance.

The accident occurred between Fr Terence’s Cross and the Ballyconnell side of Bawnboy village.

Diversions are in place.

Meanwhile traffic management restrictions are in place at Farnadolly, near the junction for Killykeen Forest Park and Trinity Lake after a minor collision this morning. Emergency services remain at the scene, however there are no serious injuries.
