Virginia man on EY final retreat

A delegation of more than 90 of Ireland’s top entrepreneurs, including Virginia’s Neil Skeffington, will travel to Singapore for the annual EY Entrepreneur Of The Year CEO Retreat.

Running from May 14-21, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year CEO retreat aims of the retreat is to support, inspire, and challenge the entrepreneurs to take their businesses to the next level. The theme for this year’s EY Entrepreneur Of The Year programme is ‘The Art of Entrepreneurship’.

The delegation includes this year’s 24 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year finalists, as well as alumni representing a broad spectrum of industries. Neil is founder of Novelplast Teoranta, and is one of two dozen finalists in this year’s EY entrepreneur programme.

Founded in 2019 Novelplast, based out of Gibbstown, Co Meath, is a working towards becoming a world leader in manufacturing sustainability plastics by developing innovative solutions and technologies that add value.

In 2022, the company announced plans to create 16 new jobs, bringing its total number of employees to 52, as it moved to invest a further €2 million into production capacity.

Neil and the other entrepreneurs will spend the week in Singapore where they will participate in a comprehensive programme of networking, executive coaching, and education. The itinerary includes meetings with some of Singapore’s most successful entrepreneurs and business leaders as well as inspirational talks by global thought leaders on a variety of topics.

This year’s retreat also features visits to the renowned Singapore Management University, the Action Community For Entrepreneurship established by the Singaporean Ministry of Trade and Industry and a host of successful business brains from Volvo CEO Jim Rowan, to Bloomberg’s global head of macro analysis Mark Cudmore, and Irish Ambassador to Singapore, Sarah McGrath.
