Water supply restored in following burst main

Customers thanked for their patience.

Uisce Éireann and Cavan County Council have successfully completed repairs following a water mains burst in Cavan Town.

The majority of customers affected will see their water supply return shortly while a number of homes and businesses may experience an intermittent supply while the network fully recharges.

It typically takes two to three hours following repairs for full supply to restore to all customers affected by a water supply outage.

Peter Gallagher, Operations Lead with Uisce Éireann, thanked customers for their patience while work was underway.

“Our teams conducted the repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption. We understand the inconvenience an outage can have on customers, and we appreciate their co-operation.”
