Maria (Marie) Brady (née Morrow)

Churchview, Virginia and Cornaslieve, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred of Maria (Marie) Brady (née Morrow), formerly Cornaslieve and Churchview, Virginia, Co. Cavan, in her 90th year, at Virginia Community Health Centre, on April 17th 2023.

Predeceased by her husband John and brother Joe.

Marie will be sadly missed by her sons Kieran, Enda, Fintan, daughter Rita, son in law Tom, daughter in law Orla, her adored grandchildren Eoin, Orla, Brian, Conor, Killian, Ciara, Devon and Rebecca, her brothers Fr Robbie and Jimmy and her sister Elizabeth.

Marie’s family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Virginia Community Health Centre for the wonderful care and attention shown to their mother during her time there.

Reposing at her daughter Rita’s house (Cavan Rd.) on Wednesday, 19th April, from 4pm until prayers at 7pm. Removal on Thursday morning for Funeral Mass at 11am in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Virginia. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

No.10 Drumlin Manor, Curkish, Bailieborough, Cavan / Finglas, Dublin

Declan (Jack) Foley, No.10 Drumlin Manor, Curkish, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan and formerly of Tallaght and Finglas, Dublin died on the 16th April 2023 suddenly but peacefully. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Brigid, daughters Nicola, Aideen, Niamh and Róisín, grandchildren Conor, Aoife, Megan and Eoin, sons-in-law Paul and Gabriel, daughter-in-law Donna Marie, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and large circle of friends.

Michael McDonald, 12 Oriel Lodge, Church Street, Belturbet and formerly of Gortaquill Belturbet and Manchester, peacefully in the loving care of his family and the staff of Lisdarn Unit, Cavan, 17th April 2023. Predeceased by his parents Madeline and Michael and sister Maud.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Freda, sons Carl, Gavin and Neil, darling daughter Sharon (Swift), brothers John, Frank and Terry, sisters Maureen and Lil, grandchildren and great-granddaughter, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephew, nieces, relatives and friends.

Michael's remains will be reposing at Lawlors Funeral Home, Ernehill, Belturbet, Eircode (H14 R583) this Wednesday evening form 6pm until evening prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Staghall at 11.00am on Thursday morning, 20th April, with cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium.

Ann McDonnell

Cootehill, Cavan / Bunnoe, Cavan

Ann McDonnell, Cootehill, and formerly of Bunnoe, Co. Cavan. Died 16 April 2023, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her father Liam and her niece and goddaughter Karen.

Will be very sadly missed by her son Kevin and his partner Pauline, her grandson Connor, mother Rosaleen McDonnell, brothers Patrick and Liam Og, sisters Veron and Denise, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the mortuary at Cavan General Hospital on Tuesday evening from 5.30pm to 7.00pm. Funeral cortège to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Bunnoe for Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am, and can be viewed live on www.churchtv.ie/bunnoe with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Dernakesh, Maudabawn, Cootehill, Cavan

Ann Shalvey Dernakesh, Maudabawn, Cootehill, Co.Cavan April 16th 2023 unexpectedly at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her Parents Victor and Mary, nephew Declan. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her beloved partner Michael Hughes, her family, Sister Helen Lewis (Trim), Rita Sheridan (Henry)(Trim), Therese McArdle (Eamon) (Cootehill), brother Noel (Mary) (Trim), brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill (H16 FD25) Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8pm. Removal Wednesday morning at 11.30am to arrive to St. Patrick’s Church Maudabawn for 12noon Funeral Mass burial afterwards in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maudabawn.

The death has occurred of Francie McCague, Tullyard, Cootehill Rd., Monaghan, Co. Monaghan, Monday 17th April, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Francie is predeceased by his parents Rose and Frank, his sister Molly (Evans) his brother Pat.

Cherished and much loved husband of Briege, adored father of Sinead McNally, (Alan Treanor), Breda, Liam (Siobhan) and Celine (Lee). Francie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his Wife, daughters, son, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, 8 grandchildren, sister Eileen (McCague), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, many friends and by all who knew and loved Francie.

May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Francie will be resting at home privately, amongst his family, with removal on Wednesday morning at 10.20am to St. Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Calvary Cemetery, Latlurcan.
