Kathleen Galligan

Kathleen Galligan, Cashel, Ballinagh, who passed away peacefully, on Sunday 19th February 2023. Retired Staff Nurse at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her father John Frank and mother Katie, brother Eamon, sisters Mary and Mona. Deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews Sean (Roisin), Padraig, Siobhan (Robbie), Caith (Mike), Maura (Brendan), Sinead (James), Sean Kelly (Nicky), relatives, neighbours and friends.
May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Finnegan's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Tuesday evening 22nd Feb, from 5pm until 7pm. Removal to arrive at St. Felim's Church, Ballinagh, on Wednesday for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House Private, please.
Lily Sexton (née Reilly)
Swellan, Cavan Town, Cavan
Lily Sexton, (nee Reilly), Swellan, Cavan, Monday February 20th 2023, peacefully in the loving care of her family and the staff at Cavan General Hospital and St. Joseph's, Lisdarn, aged 90 years. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Terry and mother of the late Paddy, Brigid and Philip. Lily will be very sadly missed and dearly loved by her devoted family, Anna Rose (Francis), Eddie (Philomena), Margaret (Tony), Sr.Lily, Terry (Shirley), Luke (Susan), Michael (Bernie), Catherine (Tom), Peter (Ann Marie), Martina, Carmel (Bartley), Stephen (Carmela), her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers Gerard and Mathew, sister Bridie Mc Andrew, sister's in law, nephews, nieces, all her extended family and many many friends.

Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821), on Wednesday evening February 22nd from 4pm until 8pm. Walk through only please with no handshakes or hugs. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11am in the Cathedral of Ss. Patrick and Phelim, Cavan followed by burial in St. Brigid's Cemetery, Killygarry.

The death has occurred of Evelyn Shannon (née Smyth). 4, Shangarrai, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan & formerly Cloughvalley, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. 19th February 2023. Peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family, at the Mater Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by her husband Cormac.
Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cherished family, her sons Paddy, Cormac (Madeline), Aidan, Raymond (Maureen) & Paul (Sinéad), her adored grandchildren, Stefan, Fergal, Alex, Evan, Fionn & Orna and her great-grandson Cillian, her brother Eamonn (Castleblayney), Patsy (UK) and her sister Christina (Ballybay), her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.

Evelyn will repose at her home, 4, Shangarrai, Ballinagh, on Monday, 20th February, from 7pm until 9pm and at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Tuesday, 21st February, from 4pm until 8pm.
Evelyn's funeral cortège will leave her son Paul & daughter-in-law Sinead's home, St. Macartan's Villas, on Wednesday, 22nd February, proceeding on foot to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Crossdoney, Cavan / Thurles, Tipperary
Tommy Sheridan, Parkstown, Thurles and late of Cavanfin, Crossdoney, Co Cavan. Died at Tipperary General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents William and Katie Sheridan, sisters Margaret, Bridget and Mary and brother John. Deeply regretted by his loving nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, his neighbours, and good friends in Parkstown and Horse and Jockey.

Removal to arrive at St. Felim's Church, Ballinagh, on Wednesday at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Those who would like to leave a message may do so in condolence below.

Rose Langan (née Ward)

The death has occurred of Rose Langan, Guardhill, Newbliss, Co Monaghan and formerly of Buncrubog, Glenties, Co Donegal, unexpectedly at Cavan General Hospital, Monday 20th February, in the care of the staff of medical 3, surrounded by her loving family. Rose is predeceased by her father Charlie, mother-in-law Peggy and father-in-law Leo.
Cherished and much loved wife of Barry, adored mother of Adam (Michelle), Chloe (Anthony) and Kayla. Rose will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband, son, daughters, heartbroken mother Kathleen, sisters, Maeve, Miriam, Lucy and Carina, brothers Pat and Liam, aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, many friends, and by all who knew and loved Rose.

Rose will be resting at the family home on Wednesday 22nd, strictly private to family and close friends with removal on Thursday morning 23rd,at approx 10.40 for 11am Funeral Mass in St Laobhin's Chapel ,Killeevan, followed by private cremation (family and close friends) at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

The death has occurred of Patrick 'Nipper' Murphy, 19 Tullyree, Glaslough, Co.Monaghan, H18 NY88. Monday 20th February, peacefully at his home.
Predeceased by his loving wife Ina, brothers Benny & Eamon and sister Mae. Remembered with great love and affection by his sons, Malcolm & Stephen, daughters Patricia & Laura, daughters in law Marie & Joulie and sons in law Dave & Brian. Sadly missed by his sisters Ann & Teresa and their families. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
