It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Kathleen Flanagan (née Rogers)

Drumbannon, Bailieborough, Cavan

The death has occurred of Kathleen Flanagan (nee Rogers), London, England and formerly of Lakeview, Drumbannon, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan on Monday 13th February 2023. Predeceased by her husband Patrick, sisters Josephine, Marie and Maureen, brothers Gerard and Patsy.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her son Alan (Gail), daughters Julie and Joanne (Matt), grandchildren, great grandchildren, her brother Noel, sisters Geraldine, Madeline and Tina, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Mina O'Neill (née Hayes)

Townparks, Ballyhaise, Cavan

The death has occurred of Mina O'Neill (nee Hayes), Townparks, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan, Wednesday February 15th 2023, peacefully in the loving care of her family and the wonderful staff at Castlemanor Nursing Home, Cavan in her 95th year. Predeceased by her husband Jimmy, brothers Eugene and Paddy and sisters Mary, Margaret, Frances, Dympna and Bernie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her daughter Genie (Colm), sons Dara (Loreto) and Martin (Bridie), her sister Breda and cherished grandchildren Oisín, Éadaoin, Clíodhna, Éibhleann, Jack, Harry, Rebecca, Michael and Hannah, all her extended family and many friends.

May she rest in Peace

Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd., Cavan (H12 C821) on Friday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Mina's remains will leave the Funeral home on Saturday morning at 10.30am, travelling to St.Mary's Church, Ballyhaise for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial will take place afterwards in Castletara Cemetery. House strictly private. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to St. Christopher's Hospice, Cavan.

Kathleen (Cassie) Connolly

England and formerly of Derrylea & Derrintonny, Scotstown, Monaghan / Fivemiletown, Tyrone

Kathleen (Cassie) Connolly, Preston, Lancashire, England and formerly of Derrylea, Scotstown, Derrintonny, Scotstown, Co. Monaghan, Knocknastacken, Fivemiletown, Co. Tyrone, died Sunday, 29th January, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her father Joseph Smyth, Derrylea, Scotstown, her mother Elizabeth Murphy, Corraleek, Roslea, her beloved husband Joseph Connolly, Rough Hill, Scotstown, brothers Joseph, John, William (his wife Margaret) and her sister Margaret (her husband Eamonn).

Deeply regretted by her children Maureen (Ian), John, Kathleen (Peter), Patricia (Dave) and Margaret (Nick), grandchildren Louise, Rachel, Philip, Mark, Charlotte and Joseph, dearest family friend Brian, brother James, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family circle, neighbours and friends both in Ireland and England.

Reposing at Clerkin’s Funeral Home, from 4.00pm on Sunday with removal on Sunday evening at 6.00pm, arriving to St. Tierney’s Church, Roslea for 7.00pm.

Funeral liturgy on Monday morning at 11.00am with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Rosemary Granville (née Boyle)

Stratford-upon-Avon , England & formerly of Mullinary, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Rosemary Granville (née Boyle), Stratford-upon-Avon, England and formerly of Mullinary, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at her residence aged 82 on Monday 13th February 2023. Predeceased by her parents, Paddy and Cathleen Boyle (Mullinary), sister Carmel McGrory (Ardee) and her beloved husband Denis Granville. Much loved and deeply missed by her children Richard, Thomas, Sarah, Catherine, and Anthony, grandchildren Oliver, Christopher, James, Daniel, Jessica, Benjamin, Issac, Charlie, Jack, Archie and Freddie, and her great grandchildren Amelia, Felix, Noah, Arlo, Teddy, Oscar, Hallie, Travis and Toby, sisters Breege O'Reilly and Etta Mundy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.
