Dry, sunny day weather wise with light winds

Weather update from Met Éireann

Mostly dry and sunny today with light winds, it'll be cloudier in the north and west with the chance of an isolated shower there. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees in mostly light to moderate west to southwest winds, fresher in the north.

After a mostly clear start tonight, cloud will build from the west with patchy light rain or drizzle developing. Lowest temperatures of minus 1 degree in the south to plus 3 degrees in the north. Light to moderate southwesterly winds will be occasionally fresh.

Mainly dry tomorrow, overall it will be rather cloudy with patches of light rain and drizzle at times. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in moderate to fresh westerly winds.

Little change Friday night, it'll be mainly dry for most with isolated patches of light rain or drizzle. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees in light to moderate southwesterly breezes. Some mist and hill fog will develop.

Similar conditions on Saturday and Sunday, both days will be mainly dry and rather cloudy. There'll be patchy light rain and drizzle at times and the sun will come through at times too. Highest temperatures of 9 or 10 degrees in light to moderate southerly breezes. Little change in the weather overnight, temperatures will fall to between 3 and 6 degrees.

Currently Monday looks like a sunnier day in the east, still rather cloudy with patches of mist and drizzle in the west. Winds will be southeasterly and temperatures up to 11 degrees in the west, the easterly aspect to the wind keeping temperatures at around 7 or 8 degrees in the east.

Current indications suggest no significant change for the midweek period, perhaps a little breezier on Tuesday.
