Patricia McCann (née Dowler)

Greystones, Wicklow / Ballybrack, Dublin / Crosskeys, Cavan

Patricia McCann (née Dowler) of Ballybrack, Co. Dublin, Crosskeys, Co. Cavan & Whitehall, Dublin. January 31st 2023, peacefully surrounded by her family, in the loving care of the Palliative Care Unit St. Vincent’s University Hospital, previously in the compassionate & exceptional care of Liz, Pat & their team at Eyrefield Manor Nursing Home, Church Lane, Greystones, Co. Wicklow. Pre-deceased by her husband Hugh, her daughter Elaine & her siblings Gerard, Phyllis & Jacinta. Remembered with love by her children Patricia Jnr, Martina, Hugh, Michelle & Siobhán, brothers Barney, Joseph & Christy, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours & wide circle of friends. Funeral Mass on Saturday (February 4th) at 1pm in St. Dympna's Church, Lower Lavey, Cavan (H12 W586), after which Patricia will be laid to rest with her husband Hugh in the adjoining Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all the staff in the Palliative Care Unit of St. Vincent’s University Hospital & Liz, Pat, Mary & all of the amazing team at Eyrefield Manor Nursing Home for looking after Patricia over the last number of years.

Oliver O'Reilly, Gortaquill, Milltown, Belturbet, Co. Cavan. 1st February 2023, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his son Dermot and parents John and Mary Ellen. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Teresa, daughters Brenda and Una, sons-in-law Paul and Gavin, grandchildren Archie and Rose, brothers Seamus and Tom Joe, sisters, Sr. Kathleen and Carmel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Oliver will be reposing at Lawlor’s Funeral Home, Ernehill, Belturbet (H14 R583) tomorrow evening (Thursday) from 6pm with evening prayers at 8pm. Remains will leave Lawlor's Funeral Home at 10.20am on Friday morning to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Milltown (via Gortaquill) for Funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in Drumlane Cemetery.

John Smith

Corcavity, Drung, Cavan

John Smith, Corcavity, Drung, Co. Cavan died 31st January 2023, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital in the presence of his family and in the wonderful care of the staff in Surgical 2. Predeceased by his wife Mary his infant granddaughter Noeline Mary and his sister Susan.

Will be very sadly missed his children Brian, Bridie, Susan, Peter, Philomena, Pam, Geraldine and Noeleen, his cherished grandchildren Patrick, Conor, Shane, Paul, Peter, Laura, David, Daniel and Mark, great grandchildren Lucy, Alice and Mac, sons in law Pat, Eugene and Larry, daughter in law Kathleen, sister in law Phyllis Boylan (Loughduff), nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

May he Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his residence this Thursday evening from 5pm to 9pm. Funeral cortège to arrive at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Drung for requiem mass at 1.30pm on Friday, which can be viewed live on www.churchtv.ie/Drung, with burial immediately afterwards in Drung Cemetery.

Sarah Hughes (née Connolly)

Nahill, Smithborough, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Sarah Connolly-Hughes, London England and formerly of Nahill, Smithborough, Co. Monaghan. Sarah passed away in London Thursday, 12th January 2023. Predeceased by her husband Francis Hughes, parents Francis and Jane Connolly, brothers John, Owen and Thomas. Sarah will be sadly missed by her sister Agnes, brother Bernard, nieces, nephews, family and many friends.

May her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Sarah's Requiem Mass takes place on Saturday, 4th February, at 11am in St Mary's Church, Threemilehouse. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only Please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Drumkill Day Care Centre c/o Martin's Funeral Directors, Newbliss or any family member.
