It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Mary Gallagher (née Mc Govern)

8 Marian Cresent, Blacklion, Cavan

Formerly The Garage, Swanlinbar. Peacefully, at her home. Wife of the late Tom and loving mother of Marian (Tommy), Michael (Pauline), James (Kathleen), Thomas, Patricia (Gerry), Elizabeth, John (Irene) . Predeceased by her parents Michael & Mary, sister Philomena Leydon, brothers Joe, Jim and Michael. Sadly missed by her sister Lily O'Reilly (Peter) Canada, her 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, her half sisters Patricia, Aine, Bernadette and Mary Josephine, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

MAY MARY'S GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE

Mary's remains will arrive to Saint Patrick's Church, KIllinagh, Blacklion, on Monday, 7th November, at 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Tuesday, 8th November, at 11am with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Tommy McKenna

Rocks Road, Kingscourt, Cavan

The death has occurred of Tommy McKenna, Rocks Road, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, peacefully and surrounded by his family at Beaumont Hospital, 06th November, 2022.

Predeceased by his parents Bridie & Michael and his brothers Eamonn & Michael.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Teresa, daughters Emma, Helen & Mary and his son Philip. Sadly missed by his eleven beloved grandchildren, brothers, sisters, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home on Tuesday, 8th November from 4pm to 9pm.Funeral Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt on Wednesday, 9th November at 10am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Paul O'Halloran

Lurgan, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred, peacefully, of Paul O’ Halloran, Lurgan, Virginia, Co. Cavan, on the 6 November 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Much loved husband of Irute and loving father of Audre and Amber.

Deeply regretted and sorely missed by his loving wife, daughters, his parents James and Rose, his brother John, his sister Tracey, his son in law Sawlius, his cherished grandchildren Kayla, Kevin, Katryna, Frank and Etta, his uncle Peter (O’Reilly; Newcastle, Oldcastle), relatives and friends.

Remains reposing at Matthews' Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia (A82YV58), on Tuesday evening from 6 o’clock until prayers at 8 o’clock.

Removal on Wednesday morning to Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia, arriving for 11 o’clock Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

John Bradford

24 Boyher, Rockcorry, Monaghan

John Bradford, 24 Boyher, Rockcorry, Co. Monaghan, Sunday, 6th November 2022, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Lila, his brother Jim and sister Esther. Sadly missed by his loving wife Siobhan ,daughter Danika (Gavin) and son Dary, brother Sammy, sisters Betty, Pearl, Hazel and Sandra, brothers in law, sisters in law, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Safe in the arms of Jesus.

Remains reposing at his residence until removal on Tuesday afternoon, to St James' Church, Rockcorry, arriving for 2 o'clock. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if so desired, to Palliative Care c/o Gerry Coyle funeral director or any family member. House private to family and friends, please.

Marshall Breakey

Fargreaves Cottages, Killygoan, Ballybay Road, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Suddenly, on Sunday, 6th November 2022, at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Pre-deceased recently by his beloved wife Mavis, on Thursday, 3rd November.

Resting at his home alongside Mavis.

Marshall will be dearly missed by his loving family, daughters Daphne (Daly), Heather (Burgess) and Donna (McCrudden), sons-in-law William, Morgan and Colm, also his treasured grandchildren Derek, Gareth, Beverley and Craig, great-grandchildren Ronan,Oisin,Cain, Jessica, Helena and Andrew, brother Maxi, sister Iris (Hackett), nieces, nephews and the wider family circle.

Pre-deceased by his brothers Dawson, Lesley and Vicky, and sister Winnie.

House strictly private.

Private Funeral service on Tuesday, 8th November, at the family home. Marshall and Mavis will be buried together, afterwards, in Coolshannagh Burial Grounds, at 2.15pm.

Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by his brother John and sister Mary.

Sadly missed by his loving brother Vincent, sister Teresa, brother in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Removal on Tuesday (08/11/2022) at 11.15 a.m., arriving at St. Mary’s Church, Clontibret for Funeral Mass at 12 noon.

Jane (Peggy) O'MARA

Manchester, Monaghan and formerly of Grallagh, Fairymount, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon

-November 3rd, 2022-

(Peacefully) in Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Elizabeth and her partner Billy.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughter Jacqueline (Blake), son-in-law Anthony, grandchildren Danielle, Lauryn and Sophia, great-grandson Leo, brothers Paddy, Michael and John, sister Mary, sisters-in-law Maureen and Winnie, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

A private cremation has taken place.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday (November 11th) at 11am in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Fairymount, followed by interment of cremains in Fairymount (old) cemetery.
