Work planned on dangerous junction in 2023

The New Year will see roadworks commence at Cashel Cross near Ballinagh, the scene of several fatal or near fatal traffic accidents down through the years.

Two right turning lanes and a staggering of the road junctions coming onto the N55 completes the design of a plan aimed at addressing road safety concerns.

Councillor Winston Bennett highlighted the motion at this month's Ballyjamesduff Municipal District Meeting, requesting updates on the plans.

Senior Executive Officer, John Donohoe responded stating works would be commencing in the beginning of 2023.
