Flooding possible as status yellow warning issued
Met Éireann has issued weather warnings for the entire Republic.
A status yellow warning, which applies to most counties, including Cavan and Monaghan, forecasts heavy rain with isolated thunderstorms which may cause disruption and localised flooding.
The warning is valid from 3am tonight, Sunday morning, and lasts for 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Kerry, Cork and Waterford are expected to endure the worst of the rain. A status orange warning has been issued for those three southern counties.
