Local roads to close for works

Resurfacing works to take place on Reask Lane.

Two busy local roads are set to close in order to facilitate repairs, with diversions set to be put in place for the duration of the works.

The L-6507-0 (locally known as Reask Lane) will close for resurfacing works from its junction with the N-3-10 (Dublin Road) in the townland of Pollamore Far to its junction with the L-6503-0 (Crubany Road) in the townland of Corglass.

The closure will take place from Tuesday, August 16 to Friday, August 19, from 8am to 6pm each day.

An alternative route has been provided by the council- Northbound – from Junction L-6507-0 / L-6503-0 travel west via L-6503-0 to Junction L-6503-0 / R-935-0 at Ballinagh Road, then southwards to Junction R-935-0 / N-55-6 / N-55-5 at roundabout, then northeastwards via N-55-6 to Junction N-55-6 / R-212-4 / N-3-11 / N-3-10 (Dublin Road Roundabout), then eastwards along N-3-10.

The same alternative route in reverse will apply to southbound traffic.

A localized section of the L3520 in the townland of Glasleck and Taghart South will meanwhile close from Monday, September 12 to Friday, September 30 to facilitate culvert replacement.

An alternative route in this case has been provided from Taghart South Via L3520 and L7549 to Kilcrossduff, Via L7553 and L7550 through Taghart South & Glasleck and vice versa.
