Damien Gargan

Stramatt and late of Main Street, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred of Damien Gargan, Stramatt, Virginia, Co. Cavan and late of Main Street, Virginia, Co. Cavan, peacefully at the Mater Hospital, Dublin on 5 May 2022. Beloved husband of Siobhan and loving father of Patrick and Stephen. Sadly missed by his wife and sons, his sister Margaret (Mc Cabe), his brother Pat, brother in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rest In Peace.

Remains reposing at Matthews Funeral Home (A82YV58) on Sunday from 4 o'clock until prayers at 8 o'clock. Walk through only please and please refrain from handshaking. Please follow car parking signs.

Removal from Matthews Funeral Home on Monday afternoon to Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia arriving for 1 o'clock Funeral Mass followed by private family cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to Patient Services Comfort Fund at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital c/o Matthews Funeral Directors or by donation envelope.

Knightsbrook, Trim, Meath / Loughduff, Cavan

Bridie died on Friday the 6th May 2022. Peacefully at Our Lady's Hospital Navan surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Agnes and Connie. Sadly missed by by her loving brothers Paul and Con, sisters Marie Maher, Bernie McNamee and Anne Fitzgerald, aunt Annamay, sisters in law Mary Anne and Martina, brothers in law Brendan, Liam and Michael, nephews, nieces, grand niece, grand nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Reilly's Funeral Home, Kilcogy Village, (N39WID6) on Sunday evening from 3pm with prayers at 5pm followed by removal to St. Joseph's Church, Loughduff, (H12F968) arriving at 6pm. O’REILLY (Bishopstown, Cork and late of Killashandra, Co. Cavan): On 6th May 2022, after a short illness, peacefully, at Cork University Hospital, LIAM (B.E., late of ESB), loving husband of the late Peggy (Colbert) and devoted dad of Helen, dear brother of Marie (Killashandra).

Sadly, missed by his loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law Phyl, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

The death has occurred of Esther Nolan (née Kirwan), 32 Rosevale, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, formerly Weymouth, Dorset, UK and Railway View, Clones, Co. Monaghan. Friday 6th May 2022, peacefully in the care of the staff of Drumbear Lodge and her beloved husband Bernard. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Una, her brothers Ambrose and Kieran. Deeply regretted and lovingly missed by her heartbroken family, husband Bernard, daughter Helen, sons Bernard and Michael (England) relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rosemary Rafferty (née Callan)

Lurgans, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Rosemary Rafferty (née Callan), Lurgans, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan peacefully after a short illness surrounded by her family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, Friday, 6th May 2022. Predeceased by her parents Larry and Maggie-Ann, brother Lorcan and her infant granddaughter Eve. Fondly remembered and sadly missed by her heartbroken family, husband Pat (Paddy), daughters Gráinne and Aoife, son Pádraig, her beloved grandchildren Óisín, Aoileann and Emily, son-in-law Eoin, daughter-in-law Marcella, sister Eileen, brothers PJ, Tommy, Peter and Declan, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal on Monday morning from Lurgans on foot via Parnell St. to St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Carrickmacross.
