Repairs continue after burst main in Kingscourt

There's disruption in the town again today.

Repairs are continuing as a burst water main continues to cause disruption in Kingscourt.

The burst has seen supplies cut to most of the town and surrounding areas.

Irish Water says repairs are underway but disruption is expected to continue until lunchtime today at the earliest.

The issue first came to light yesterday afternoon and repair crews have been working for a number of hours to restore supply.

"Crews are working to have the supply restored as soon as possible", the utility says.

It has also said customers could be left waiting for another two to three hours once the repair is complete before they see normal water supplies resume.

Cavan County Council yesterday evening said repair crews are onside and "are working to restore supply as soon as possible".
