Fair Deal office for Cavan Monaghan closes

The Health Service Executive (HSE) have issued a statment advising that due to emergency building works the Fair Deal office for Cavan Monaghan located on Town Hall Street, Cavan town is temporarily closed.

The Fair Deal scheme is managed by the HSE . Under Fair Deal, those eligible pay a certain amount towards the cost of care and the HSE pays the rest.

The Fair Deal financial assessment determines how much is paid towards the total cost of nursing home care, and these awssesments are co-ordinated through the Fair Deal offices.

The phone lines are also out of service at the moment.

In a statement the HSE say: “The HSE wish to apologies for the inconvenience that this may cause and wish to reassure the public that all efforts are being made to source temporary accommodation and a further statement will be issued with these details.”

Updated information on reopening will be made known as soon as possible.
