Cocaine discovered and man arrested

Cocaine was seized and one man was arrested when gardaí searched a house in the south east of the county.

Members of the Cavan Monaghan Drugs Unit, accompanied by members of Bailieboro Detective Unit, searched a house in Ballyjamesduff yesterday, Friday, February 4.

The search was conducted under warrant as part of Operation Tara. A quantity of cocaine was seized and one male in his 30's was arrested at the scene.

He was detained for questioning at Bailieboro Garda Station and a file is now being prepared for the D.P.P.

Investigations are continuing.
