Smugglers on the run raise cash for kids
The wet conditions didn’t stop nearly more than two dozen cyclists take part in the Christmas event
A group of 30 members of the Smugglers Cycle Club have raised several hundred euro to help needy kids this Christmas.
The funds- totalling €385 and £90- were raised by the cyclists earlier this month, December 10.
The charity to benefit from their benevolence was the Downtown Radio Cash for Kids NI campaign, which works to ensure that every child has a present to open this Christmas.
The wet conditions didn’t stop nearly more than two dozen Smugglers (and one reindeer), all decked out in their finest Christmas clobber, from hitting the road.
The journey saw the cyclists finish back at the cosy surroundings of The Slieve Russell where the brilliant staff help thaw them out with tasty soup and welcome refreshments.
