Cutting a dash for ICS
Silage season is a busy time, but not so busy that you can't help out those worse off. A group of neighbours got together to fundraiser for a very worthy cause.
Members of the Kierans’s, Fay, O’Connell, and Stewart family all chipped in to doll up a silage trailer in a bid to get people on board to support the Irish Cancer Society.
Chloe Wilson and Shauna Kierans have set up a Facebook page KFCS Cancer Silage Trailer that has already raised €625 for the Irish Cancer Society.
Shauna explained the idea behind the fundraiser: “There is after been a lot of work put into this project over the past few weeks. This year it was decided that the four families would do something good for charity considering that way this pandemic has made everything so crazy.”
Shauna said the beneficiaries of the collection is a worthy cause: “Cancer affects every family at some stage so if you would like to donate to this wonderful cause please do. No donation is too small.”
“The trailer will be in use today (Friday June 11t) and tomorrow Saturday June 12. If anyone would like to help out they can find us on KFCS Cancer Silage Trailer on Facebook which links ot the donation page for the Irish Cancer Society.”
Shauna said she would like to thank Damien Moran from Moran Signs - Graphics & Vehicle Accessories for making the trailer stand out. Donations can be made through the KFCS Cancer Silage Trailer .
