It is with regret that we note the deaths of the following people from counties Cavan and Monaghan in the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Norbert Brady

Castlerahan, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

Norbert passed away at Cavan General Hospital in the loving care of his family and nursing staff. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Gretta, brothers John Pat and Tommy, sister Mary.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Patricia (Patsy) daughters Maura, Helen and Rita, son Paul, daughter-in-law Claire, sons-in-law David and Anthony, grandchildren Katelyn, Dylan, Jaime, Caolan, Eireann and Caoimhe, brothers Hughie, Con, Martin, Michael, Oliver and Jimmy, sisters Ann, Kathleen and Rita, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12 noon in St Mary's Church, Castlerahan followed by interment in adjoining cemetery.

Margaret Garity (née Smith)

25 Lisdrumskeagh, Shercock, Cavan

Peacefully, in the loving care of her family. Predeceased recently by her sisters, Eileen and Susan. Deeply regretted by her husband James, daughters Marie and Margaret, sons Andrew and Martin, grandchildren Jamie, Carl, Lewis, Gemma, Phoebe, Jenna, Sarah, Chloe, Paddy, Jade, Hannah and Lee, sisters Elizabeth, Roseanne, Evelyn, Kathleen, Pauline, Patricia and Bernadette, brothers John, Hugh, Martin and Charles and her many friends.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock in St Patrick's Church, Shercock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and Irish Cancer Society. House private, please.

Due to HSE restrictions, Margaret's funeral will be private to immediate family only.

Anne Smith (née Nesdale)

Raheg, Ballyhaise, Cavan

The death has occurred of Anne Smith (née Nesdale), Raheg, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan. Tuesday, 20th October, peacefully at her residence, in the loving care of her family. Predeceased by her husband John and sisters; Eileen Reilly and Kathleen Conaty. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken family; Peter, Seamus, Seán, Catherine (Rudden), Ciaran and Declan; Peter’s partner, Pauline; daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, wonderful neighbours and many friends.

Niall Smyth

56 Drumnavanagh, Cavan and late of 60 Main St., Cavan Town, Cavan

Niall Smyth, 56 Drumnavanagh, Cavan and late of 60 Main St., Cavan Town. Beloved youngest son of the late Michael and Kathleen Smyth. October 19th 2020 suddenly at his residence. Niall will be sadly missed by his loving sisters Mary Connolly (USA), Doreen McEvilly (Sligo), Katherine Elliott (Drumelis, Cavan), brothers Micheal (Keadue, Cavan), Oliver (Kells, Co. Meath) and Pearse (Aughnaskerry, Cavan), his sisters-in-law Margaret and Mary, brothers-in-law Tadhg, Ronan and Noel, nephews, nieces, all his family circle, cousins, work colleagues and many friends.

In line with level 5 Government and HSE regulations, Niall’s Funeral Mass will be restricted to Family members. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday in the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan at 12noon and can be viewed live on cavantownparish.com. Funeral Mass will be followed by Cremation.

Noel Brennan

Tullygoan, Corcreaghy, Carrickmacross, Monaghan / Dundalk, Louth

The death has occurred of Noel Brennan. Tullygoan, Corcreaghy, Carrickmacross. 20th October 2020. Peacefully, at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Teresa, his infant siblings Hugh and Bridget, his brothers Nickey, Michael and Aidan and his sister Caroline. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his sisters Marion (Della) and Martina (Malone), his brothers Tom, Francie, Enda and Paul, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Paddy Reilly, 26 Glenview Drive, Killygoan, Monaghan. Tuesday 20th October, peacefully at his residence in the care of his loving family after a short illness. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Sadie, daughters Evelyn, Jacinta & Deirdre, son-in-law George, grandchildren, great grandchildren, his sister Anna, nieces, nephews, in laws and a large circle of friends.

Paddy's remains will repose at his residence, until removal on Friday morning to St Macartan's Cathedral, for 11 o'clock funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in St Joseph's Cemetery, Latlurcan.
