'Lough and Denn meet in senior camogie final
Senior and intermediate deciders down for decision
The stage is set for a busy weekend of camogie action, with three county finals down for decision.
The blue riband event is the Senior Championship which sees the reigning champions, Crosserlough, take on newly-promoted Denn, who last year won the county Intermediate Championship and went all the way to the All-Ireland club Junior B final, where they performed superbly well.
While Crosserlough have vast experience and talent in their ranks and will start as favourites, a youthful Denn side should give a good account of themselves.
The Senior Championship final takes place this Saturday at 12 noon in St Felim’s Park, Drumalee.
Meanwhile, in the Intermediate Championship, Lacken will take on Castletara at 2pm on Saturday in Drumalee.
An interesting sub-plot to these games is that Crosserlough and Lacken have dual players also playing for their clubs in Ulster LGFA games on the same weekend with Crosserlough playing on Saturday in Kilnaleck against Craobh Ciaran of Armagh at 2pm while Lacken ladies play Glenfin of Donegal on Sunday in the Ulster Senior Semi final at 2pm in Donegal after their fantastic win over St Macartans of Tyrone last Sunday.
See next week's print edition for full coverage of the finals.
