Cavan sports facility gets €60K windfall

A Cavan sports facility will enjoy funding of almost €60K it was announced today. 

A total of €58,000 has been allocated towards fencing and lighting at Cavan Town Community Bowling Green, and for changing rooms at Cavan Regional Leisure Complex, which are at the same facility.

Funding to a maximum of €58k was available for each project from the Department of Sport and IPB with Local Authorities to contribute a further of at least €29k, thereby making each project worth at least €87k.

Fine Gael TD for Cavan and Monaghan, Deputy Joe O’Reilly said he was 'delighted' by the announcement by his party colleague Minister of State, Michael Ring.  

'These are very worthwhile projects and I was happy to learn that they now have the means necessary to expand and develop their facilities' said Deputy O’Reilly.
