Mary gets senior position at Trinity

A Mullahoran woman, Professor Mary McCarron, who now resides in County Kildare with her husband Noel, has been elected Dean of Health Sciences at Trinity College. She is the first female Dean of the Faculty Health Sciences at Trinity and the first nurse to lead the faculty. She will lead the faculty, which has four schools - Nursing & Midwifery, Medicine, Dental Science and Pharmaceutical Sciences. As Faculty Dean, Prof McCarron will provide academic and strategic leadership and play a pivotal role in the overall development of the college. For full story, see this week's Anglo-Celt.
