Cavan man takes video gaming to next level

Having spun his way into Dublin commuter consciousness as 'Sonic The Hedgehog Vs the Luas Train' last year, a Cavan marathon runner has once again taken the internet by storm, this time with his take on another beloved joystick character, Mega Man.

The aptly-named Emlyn Lewis from Athbara, Cavan, also known as the Super Mario street busker who performs 8bit-inspired video game and movie theme songs on the streets of the capital, recently raced against the Dublin Light Rail system in an homage to the1980's Nintendo classic.

Training for his sixth marathon ahead of the 26 miles Dublin challenge at the end of October, Emlyn swapped his running shoes for 'Power-Ups' and using some brilliant visual effects takes on video game villain, Dr Wily in a pixelated battle of epic proportions.
