WATCH: Local fire crews attend recent blaze

There were dramatic scenes as members of up to three local fire crews were called to bring under control a fire at a timber products factory in west Cavan recently.

The incident, which started approximately 6am on Tuesday morning last, July 16 occurred at Woodford Timber Products, a family run business near Ballyconnell.

Members of the Ballyconnell, Belturbet, Killeshandra, were called to the scene, which took several hours to bring under control.

The county platform and water tank were also both dispatched to assist officers.

There were no reported injuries, and the level of damage is still being assessed.

The outbreak occurred in a part of the manufacturing facility.

The fire was brought under control before midday.
