Cuilcagh 'Stairway to Heaven' closed

In order to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark team has made the decision to close the Cuilcagh Boardwalk until further notice.

The decision has been made with immediate effect.

“If you decide to visit other Geopark sites, heritage sites or local amenities for a walk, please adhere to social distancing protocols and, if it's too busy, please try somewhere else for your walk,” a spokesperson for Marble Arch Caves UNESCO Global Geopark team said.

The move follows reports that a number of Geopark sites, including Cuilcagh Boardwalk, are attracting large numbers of people with many people off work. “We appreciate people are keen to get outdoors,” they added.
