Robert Cassidy
Fintavin, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan
The death has occurred of Robert Cassidy, Fintavin, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan. Suddenly at his residence on Monday 7th April 2025. Predeceased by his parents Evelyn and Charles, and sisters Evelyn and Veronica. Beloved husband of Florence, devoted father of Lorraine (Tom), Derek (Deirdre), Alvin (Claire) and Ruth (Dario) and adored grandad of Ross, Cillian, Eve, Ellie and Clara. Fondly remembered by siblings Olive, Jimmy, George and Alice and also by his extended family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues.
Resting at Matthews Funeral Home, Bailieborough Rd., Virginia (A82YV58) on Thursday 10th April from 5pm until 8pm. Funeral service on Friday, April 11th at Billis Parish Church at 2 o'clock followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.

Peter McStay , Crott , Moyne , Co.Longford and formerly of Crossdoney , Co.Cavan , 7th April 2025 , peacefully surrounded by his family in his 90th year.
Pre-deceased by his loving wife Mary Ellen . Peter will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family , daughters Mary Kelly (Drumlish) , Belinda Gallagher (Keadue) and Noeleen Shekleton (Moyne) , sons Brendan (Crott) and Colm (New York) , daughters-in-law Veronica and Tracey , sons-in-law Pauric , Gabriel and Martin , grandchildren Kieran , Martin , Conor , Niall , Evan , Ronan , Ciara , Lauren , Aoife , Aine , Ryan , Ella , MJ , Jodi and Peter , great-grandchild Daisy , Kieran’s partner Sophie , relatives , neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home , Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Friday 11th April from 4.30pm concluding with prayers at 6.00pm . Removal to arrive at St.Francis Xavier , Church Moyne (via Crott) for prayers at 8.00pm . Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday 12th April at 11.00am , interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick (PJ) Holland
Killymonaghan, Castleshane, Monaghan
The death has occurred of Patrick (PJ) Holland, Killymonaghan, Castleshane, Co Monaghan.
Patrick, better known as PJ, died peacefully on Tuesday 8th April in the dedicated care of Monaghan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Marion, his parents Bridget and Michael and his sisters Ann and Marie. PJ will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his brothers Michael, Martin, Gerard and his sister, Vera, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law. Deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
PJ will repose in EC Hughes' Funeral Home, Main Street, Middletown from 6pm to 9pm on Wednesday 9th April. Requiem Mass on Thursday 10th April at 12 noon in The Church of the Immaculate Conception (St. Mary's) Clontribret, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House Private please. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care Team.

Cortaghard, Castleblayney, Monaghan
The death has occurred of Pierce Kerr, Cortaghard, Latton, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan and Merrick, New York on Monday March 31st.
Predeceased by his parents James and Annie and his sister Mary Kerr Conlon.
Pierce, deeply regretted and remembered with love by his wife Fran, daughters Bambi (Vikor), Ariel, Paige (Daniel), son Logan (Emily), sisters Mairead, Ann, Bríd, Catriona, Dolores, Teresa, Pauline, Carmel and Geraldine, brothers Mick, Eamonn and Noel
brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and many friends both in the USA and Ireland.

Pierce’s funeral mass will take place in Cure Of Ars Roman Catholic Church, Merrick Avenue, New York on Saturday April 12th, followed by private cremation in Long Island Crematorium.
A memorial service followed by burial of ashes will be held at a later date in his native parish of Aughnamullen East, St Mary's Church Carrickatee.
