Mostly dry and mostly cloudy today, St. Patrick's Day, with just well scattered light showers around, mainly in Munster and south Leinster. There'll just be some occasional bright or sunny spells. Feeling cool with highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in mostly moderate east to southeast winds, a little fresher at times in coastal parts of the southwest.

Largely dry tonight and mostly cloudy with just limited clear spells and isolated light showers, mainly in the southwest. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees in mostly light to moderate easterly breezes, fresher at times in southwestern coastal parts.

Dry in most places tomorrow, but there'll some well scattered showers in the southwest. A mix of cloud and sunny spells for the morning with more widespread sunshine developing through the day. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees and it'll be breezy with moderate to fresh east to southeast winds, strongest in coastal parts of the south and west, but the winds will ease later.

Dry, cold and mostly clear overnight on Tuesday. Some frost expected with lowest temperatures of -1 to +4 degrees, coldest in Ulster, in light easterly breezes. A few mist and fog patches may also develop.

Mostly dry on Wednesday with spells of sunshine, especially in the morning. Some cloud will push in from the south at times bringing the chance of the odd stray light shower. A milder day with highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees generally, a little cooler for eastern and northeastern areas, in mostly light easterly breezes, more moderate in the southwest.

Largely dry overnight on Wednesday with long clear spells and a chance of a stray light shower. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 6 degrees. Some mist and fog patches will form in light easterly breezes.

Thursday will be predominately dry with spells of warm sunshine, turning hazy at times. Highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees generally in light to moderate southeast breezes.

Dry and mostly clear at first Thursday night. Cloud will build from the south through the night. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in moderate easterly winds.

Some uncertainty in the details but Friday is indicated to be a breezy day. Largely cloudy in the morning but sunny spells and scattered showers will develop, most frequent in the southwest and west with some heavy showers possible. Highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees in moderate to fresh southeasterly winds.

Further Outlook: Current indications suggest that the weekend will be unsettled with showery outbreaks of rain before high pressure starts to build back in early next week.
