To mark this milestone anniversary, a special celebration took place on Friday, February 14th in College View Nursing Home, bringing together residents, staff—both past and present—members of the local community and a number of the senior management from Grace Healthcare Ireland. Photo by SHEILA MARIE ROONEY PHOTOGRAPHYOn Valentine’s Day in 2000, College View Nursing Home opened its doors, providing a much-needed care facility for the Cavan community. From its inception, it not only became a trusted home for residents but also a significant employer in the region - a legacy that continues today. Originally a 56-bed facility, it expanded in 2006 to accommodate 69 residents, reflecting the growing demand for high-quality nursing home care.
A special celebration was held on February 14 last at College View Nursing Home to mark this milestone. Residents, past and present staff, local community members, and senior management from Grace Healthcare Ireland came together to commemorate the occasion.
Rioghnach Murphy, CEO of Grace Healthcare Ireland, spoke at the event, expressing her gratitude: “We are incredibly proud to celebrate 25 years of care at College View Nursing Home. This milestone is a testament to the dedication of our staff, both past and present, who have created a warm and supportive environment for our residents. Their commitment, along with the strong sense of community here, has made College View a home from home for so many. We look forward to continuing this legacy of exceptional care for many more years to come.”
