Doherty directed crime drama up for another award
A crime drama directed by Philip Doherty is enjoying continued success with a nomination for a prestigious TV award.
Having already been nominated for an IFTA, CRÁ is now in the running for an award at this year's Gradaim RTS/The Royal Television Society Ireland Awards 2025. The Irish language drama is shortlisted in the 'Scripted' category.
CRÁ follows a murder investigation which begins when Garda Conall Ó Súilleabháin's missing mother is discovered buried on a bog. Conall, played by Dónall Ó Héalai, is forbidden from working the case but that's not going to stop him.
Set in the Gaeltacht in Donegal, the series delivers a gripping story of murder, secrets, and justice in a close-knit Irish village.
The series has been broadcast on TG4, BBC NI and BBC4 and continues to be available to watch on the TG4 Player.
CRÁ is one of 11 shows produced by TG4 and its partners that are up for an award.
Gradaim RTS / The RTS Ireland awards recognise the very best in broadcasting, and TG4 is delighted to see our work acknowledged among the industry’s finest.
