Suddenly and unexpectedly at home in Leeds on Sunday February 16th

Beloved son of Eileen and predeceased by his father Tom, brother Sean and sister Patricia.

Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his mother Eileen, brothers Bryan, Maurice & Thomas, sister Bernadette, sister-in-laws Caroline, Orla & Sinead, brother-in-laws Michael & John, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, relatives & friends.

May Paul Rest in Peace.

Suddenly but peacefully at his home surrounded by his heartbroken family.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his beloved wife Kathleen, his children Attracta (Paddy), Padraig (Elizabeth), Seamus (Abie), Paul, Noel (Edel), his adored grandchildren, his sister Sheila, his brother Paddy, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Baileborough on Friday from 4pm until 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11o clock in St Patrick's Church, Shercock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Eilish Smith, née McGovern, Carrickatober, Crosskeys, Co Cavan, Beloved wife of the late John (Jackie). Thursday February 20th, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of ICU, Cavan General Hospital. Pre-deceased by her husband, brother Tom Michael, sisters Peggy, Eileen and B.T. Sadly missed by her loving family, Ester (Gerry) Michael (Agnes), Anna (Gerry), Liz (Martin) and John (Mairead), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Kathleen (Sheanon) and Sue (Lynch), brother Bartley, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Friday evening from 6.00pm until 9.00pm. Removal from her home on Saturday morning at 11.15am to St Matthew's Church, Crosskeys to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Thomas (Tom) Gavin

Ahawilk, Feohanagh, Limerick, V42XT50 / Monaghan / Menlough, Galway

Formally of Coolmuckbane, Co. Monaghan and Killascobe, Menlough, Co. Galway. (Retired Detective Sergeant, Garda Síochána, Monaghan.) Thomas died peacefully at Saint John’s Hospital, Limerick on 19th of February 2025. Predeceased by his siblings Mary, Nora, and Jim. Sadly missed by Freda, his loving wife of 60 years, and his children Vourneen, Padraic, Sean, and Eileen, daughters-in-law Alison and Gloria, son-in-law John, and daughter’s partner Ross. Missed by his grandchildren Ciara, Luke, Aisling, Róisín, Leah, Siena, Niamh, and Ashford, his brother Paddy, his sisters-in-law Mary and Maura, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home in Ahawilk V42 XT50 on Friday 21st February from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Arriving at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newcastle West on Saturday morning 22nd February for the funeral mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards at Calvary Cemetery, Newcastle West.

Dorothy HENNESSY

(née Lynn)

Howth, Dublin / Monaghan

HENNESSY Dorothy, (née Lynn) Howth, Co. Dublin (formerly of Analore, Co. Monaghan). Peacefully, 20th February 2025, in the tender care of her family and the staff of St. Francis Hospice, Raheny. Predeceased by her son Robert. She will be very sadly missed by her loving husband Pat, daughters Ruth, Susan, Sarah; Sons John, Michael, Colm, Brendan, sons in law Martin, Andrew, Philip and daughters in law Siobhan and Elaine, her adored grandchildren Ella, Carla, Aoife, Julie, Lucy and Ava; her sister Imelda and brother Gerry, nieces and nephews and all of her extended family, friends and neighbours.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam

Removal to the Church of the Assumption, Howth, Sunday for service for 5pm. Funeral Mass at 10am Monday, 24th February, followed by burial at Glasnevin Cemetery.
