Marian Carry

(née Reilly)

Arrangements have changed.

The peaceful death has occurred of Marian Carry née Reilly in the loving care of her heartbroken family and the excellent nursing staff of Our Lady's Hospital Navan.

Saturday 1st February 2025, the feast of St Brigid.

Marian was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Margaret, sister Lonnie, and two sons Patrick and Michael.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Micheal

Children: Teresa (Jack), Paul, Martin (Nokky)

Grandchildren: James, Leanne, Finn, Evan, Sean Sienna

Brothers and sisters: Paddy, Terry, Micheal, Oliver, Mary, Margaret, Liza, Bernie, Kathleen, Christina, brothers in- law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Marian will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife and mother, grandmother, sister and a true friend to those in need over many years as Marian cared for the sick and housebound showing them compassion and great respect at all times in their homes.

Marian will repose at her residence on Thursday from 2 - 8pm.

House Strictly Private Thereafter For Family Only.

Removal on Friday afternoon at 12.30 pm to Arrive at St. Colmcille's Church

for Funeral Mass at 1pm, which can be viewed live here followed by burial in St. Colmcilles Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Kathleen Finn (nee Mc Corry), New York and Correvan, Blacklion, Co.Cavan, Monday February 3rd 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Sadly missed by her daughter Maureen, sons John, David, Declan and Pat, sister Susan Sullivan (Kenmare), brothers Jim (Butlersbridge) and Patsy (Blacklion), nephew , nieces and many friends.

May she rest in peace

Funeral will take place in New York.

Derek Jermyn

Laragh Crescent, Cavan Town, Cavan

Derek Jermyn, 12 Laragh Crescent, Cavan Town, Sunday February 2nd 2025, suddenly, at his home. Predeceased by his parents Jackie and Joan and his nephews Sean and Eddie.

Beloved husband and best friend of Fiona, devoted father of Jason (Dorothy) and Jenny (Lee) and adoring grandad of Aodaghan, Riley, Lily and Hunter. Derek will be very sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, loving children, adored grandchildren and his siblings Nat, Miriam, Christopher, Carol, David, Paul, Damian and Brendan, sisters and brothers in law, nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, neighbours and many, many friends.

May he rest in peace

Derek will repose at the Cathedral of Ss Patrick and Felim, Farnham St, Cavan, his place of work which he loved so much, on Thursday evening from 6pm until 9pm.

Removal from his home in Laragh Crescent on Friday morning at 11.30 to the Cathedral of Ss Patrick and Felim, Cavan arriving for Funeral mass at 12 noon. Following mass the cortège will travel to Cullies Cemetery for committal prayers and burial.

Liam O'Reilly

Farnham St, Cavan Town, Cavan

Liam O'Reilly, formerly of Farnham St, Cavan. Passed away, peacefully, on Sunday February 2nd in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin following a short illness.

Beloved son of the late Sean and Bryde. Predeceased by his brother Sylvan and his sister Louise.

Sadly missed by his loving family: Thérèse, Seán, Senan, Emer, Nathan and Niamh along with his many nephews, nieces and cousins. Also missed by his former wife and, to the end, close friend Anna and his wide circle of friends.

Funeral on Thursday at 12 noon in Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.

No flowers please. Do, however, consider making a small donation to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

Irene (Elizabeth) Strong

Cavancoulter, Mountnugent, Cavan

Irene (Elizabeth) Strong (nee Leahy), Cavancoulter, Mountnugent, Co. Cavan, Tuesday, 4th February 2025 (peacefully), at the Sheelin Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Ernest and her brothers Jack and Rob. Dearly missed by her daughter Glenda (Robert), son Wesley (Margaret), grandchildren Andrew (Emma), Laura, Sophie, Gary, Julie and Gemma, great grandson Arthur, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Service in St. Paul's Church, Ballymachugh on Thursday (6th) at 2pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
