Cloudy day with some patchy rain

Weather update from Met Éireann

A cloudy start this morning with some patchy rain over Connacht and Ulster for a time but staying dry elsewhere. Staying rather cloudy through to the afternoon with highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with southerly breezes.

Generally dry tonight but cloudy with some patchy mist or drizzle along southern counties. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees with southerly breezes.

Cloudy tomorrow (Saturday) overall but mostly dry too with southerly breezes. Some patchy light rain will drift in over southern counties later in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.

Saturday night will see a mix of cloud and clear spells with outbreaks of rain slowly moving in from the west over much of Munster, Connacht and west Ulster. Drier and clearer further east though with a few spots of drizzle. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees generally with mostly moderate southerly winds.

Perhaps turning slightly more unsettled on Sunday with a band of rain moving in across western counties together with strengthening southerly winds. Cloudy elsewhere but eastern counties should stay dry until the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.

The last of the rain will clear early Sunday night with clear spells and some showers following. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees in light to moderate southwest winds.

Any lingering rain will clear early on Monday but it'll remain cloudy. Winds will fall light however and highest temperatures will reach around 8 to 11 degrees.

Current indications are for Tuesday to turn slightly more unsettled again with outbreaks of rain developing from the south. Staying cloudy too with highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees.
