Frank Costello

Drummollard, New Inn, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

Frank Costello, (Drummollard, New Inn, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan), 14th January, peacefully at Virginia Primary Care Centre surrounded by his loving family.

Frank will be sadly missed by his wife Helen, son David, daughter Evelyn, grandchildren Daithi, Eoin, Frankie and Grace, brother Johnny, sisters Dolores, Bernie and Lil, daughter-in-law Irene, son-in-law Greig, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

MAY HIS GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE

Removal on Thursday 16th to St. Dympnas Church, Upper Lavey arriving at 7:30pm. Requiem Mass at 11am on Friday 17th with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Patient Comfort Fund at Virginia Primary Care Centre c/o Sean Mc Bride funeral undertaker or any family member.

Mattie Galligan, Drumkilly, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan, Wednesday, January 15th. Predeceased by his parents Larry & Ellen and his infant brother Patrick. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Kathleen, daughters Evelyn (Brendan) and Catriona (Niall), son Matthew, sisters Kathleen & Mary, his grandchildren Zoe, Oisin, Saoirse, Eleanor, Esme & Euan, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Briody's Funeral Home, Kilnaleck (A82 DX59) on Friday evening (17th) from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday (18th) in St. Joseph's Church, Drumkilly (A82 V049) at 11am. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Annie Heyneman,

Kilnavart, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan

The death has occurred suddenly of Annie Heyneman, Kilnavart, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan. Predeceased by her parents Maureen and Dan McLaughlin.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Henk, her children, brother and sisters, future son-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace

Donald Lynch

Corracarrow, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

Donald Francis Lynch, born 3rd of March 1936, of Corracarrow, Ballyjamesduff. Donald passed away peacefully at Cavan General Hospital on Saturday 11th of January 2025. Predeceased by his parents, John and Mollie Lynch, brothers Hugh, Patsy and sister Laura. Donald is survived by his sister Carmel Lynch-McCarthy (New York) and his sister-in-law Sheilia Lynch. Donald was very close with his two nieces Helen Marie Dempsey of PA and Carmel Marie Bowron of CT. Donald is also survived by his other nieces, nephews, cousins and many grand nieces and nephews.

Donald's family would like to extend gratitude to the nursing and administrative staff at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Virginia. To the doctors and nurses of Cavan General Hospital. Also, to all the home health aides who took care of him at his own residence over the years.

Dessie MCDERMOTT

Predeceased by his brother Philip. Dessie, much loved husband of Nuala and loving father of Paula and Brian. Deeply regretted by his family, grandchildren Ethan, Grace, Callum and Ella, son-in-law Darren and daughter-in-law Michelle.

Dearly loved son of Sarah and loving brother of John, Kate, Jim, Brian, Ann, Paddy, Willie, Michael, Gerry and Linda, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Frances O’Reilly (Nee Briody) 8 Kilmore Estate and late of Derrylurgan, Ballyjamesduff. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital on Wednesday 15th of January 2025. Beloved wife of Michael, mother of James (Michelle) Castlepollard, Michelle (Barry) and Natasha (Brendan) Newbliss. Predeceased by her parents Jimmy and Fanny. Sorely missed by her loving grandchildren Michaela, Tegan, Ella, Shinia, Josh and Oisin. Deeply regretted by her brothers Willie and Patrick, sisters Kathleen and Nancy, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her late home on Friday from 4pm to 7pm. House Private at all other times please. Funeral at 1:30pm on Saturday at Christ Church, The Grove, Ballyjamesduff followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining Church yard.

Lurgan, Armagh / Carrickmacross, Monaghan

Brannigan (nee Mulvany), (Lurgan, formerly of Banbridge and Lisburn), 13 January 2025, peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Patricia, beloved wife of Brian and a much loved mother of Fiona, Ciaran and Adrian, a dear mother in law to Jon, Róisín and Adrienne and proud grandmother of Christian, Mark, Kerry, Lucy, Ellen and Aisling. Loving sister of James, Ann, Brendan and the late Mary, sister in law to Mona, Peter, and Geraldine and a loving Aunt to Stephen, Paul, Denise, Caroline, David, Catherine, Laura, James, Mark and Rachel.

Patricia will repose at the family home, 6 Woodville Mews, Lough Road, Lurgan, BT66 6ST on Thursday 16/01/25 from 3.00pm. The funeral will be on Friday 17/01/25 at 9.45am to St. Peter’s Church, Lurgan, where Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10.30am.
