Michael Cassidy

The Drumlins, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred of Michael Cassidy, The Drumlins, Virginia, Co. Cavan, peacefully 14 January 2025, at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents William and Katie and his brothers Billy and Patrick.

Much loved husband of Joy and much loved Dad to Lynda, Julie and Anna and adored grandfather to Millie, Alfie, Conor and Cian.

Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters and grandchildren, his sisters Mary, Ceppi and Nancy, sons in law Sean, Owen and Mark, his brother in law Alan, his cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Matthews Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia (A82YV58) on Saturday evening (18th) from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock.

Removal to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan on Sunday for a celebration of Michael's life at 12 o'clock.

Patrick (Paudge) Mc Cabe, Millview, Bough, Cootehill, Co. Cavan. January 13th 2025 peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Lisdarn Elderly Unit, Cavan. Predeceased by his wife Ann and brothers Tom and Michael. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving Sons Aaron and Conal, Sisters Maeve, Rosaleen and Breege, Brothers-in-law, Sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends in the community circle.

Reposing at his residence (H16 C592) on Wednesday 15th January from 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning 16th January to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Middle Chapel for 12 noon funeral mass, burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. House private to family and friends on Thursday morning please.

Paddy Sheanon, Enfield, London and late of Drumavaddy, Carrickaboy, Co Cavan. Passed away peacefully 13th January 2025 after a short illness in London. Predeceased by this parents Patrick and Kathleen. Dearly beloved husband of Cecila. Sadly missed by his loving wife and her children Leslie and Anthony. A much love brother to John (Kathleen), Kathleen Ward (Jim) and Ann Flynn. He will be sadly missed by his nephews and nieces and his wide circle of friends.

Brannigan (nee Mulvany), (Lurgan, formerly of Banbridge and Lisburn), 13 January 2025, peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia, beloved wife of Brian and much loved mother to Fiona, Ciaran and Adrian, dear mother in law to Jon, Róisín and Adrienne and proud grandmother to Christian, Mark, Kerry, Lucy, Ellen and Aisling. Loving sister of James, Ann, Brendan and the late Mary. Sister in law to Mona, Peter, Geraldine and loving Aunt to Stephen, Paul, Denise, Caroline, David, Catherine, Laura, James, Mark and Rachel.

May Patricia rest in peace.

Formerly Ballygally, Co.Antrim and Corranewey. Newbliss, Co.Monaghan.

Peacefully on 26th December 2024 at Addenbrooks Hospital, Cambridge.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Fulton and much loved mother of Karen (Chris), Elaine (Sean) and Richard (Abi). Adored grandmother to Rory, Saul, Patrick and Dominic. Margaret was deeply loved by her sisters Betty Blemings, Doreen Kerr, brother David Wright, brother and sister in law, and the wider family circle as well as her many friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday 17th January 2025 at 10.30am in Cairncastle Presbyterian Church followed by committal in St Patricks Church of Ireland graveyard, Cairncastle.

The death has occurred of Peggie McGuigan (née Martin), Knocknacran, Magheracloone, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family in the wonderful care of Castleross Nursing Home, 12th January 2025.

Deeply regretted by her husband Harry, her daughters Breda, Tricia, Ann, Emma, and Nora, and their partners Jude, Paul, Brian, and Emmanuel, her sisters Colette and Bridge, and brothers Vincent and Michael. Fondly remembered by her cherished grandchildren Killian, Faolán, Sorcha, Hazel, Abby, Cliodhna, Fionn, and Millie, and sadly missed by her extended family and friends.

Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home, (A82R2W3), Hall Street, Kingscourt on Thursday, 16th January from 4pm to 8pm. Peggie’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter and Paul's Church, Lower Magheracloone, on Friday, 17th January, at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Seamus Mc Nally, formerly (Park Inn) Park Street, Monaghan. Monday January 13th peacefully in the loving care of the wonderful staff of Dromore House in St. Mary’s Hospital, Castleblayney, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his wife Mary.

Seamus deeply regretted and remembered with love by his family, daughters Fiona (Kelly), Sinead (Mc Nally), Aisling (Mc Nally / Bergin) and Blánaid (Trigg), son Reamonn, sister Monica Treanor, his cherished grandchildren and adored great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May Seamus’ Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace

Seamus will repose at the home of his daughter Fiona, Knockaturley, Monaghan (H18VW29) today Tuesday from 4pm until 8pm and again tomorrow Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm. Seamus’ funeral cortège will travel from Fiona’s family house in Knockaturley on Thursday morning to arrive at St.Macartans Cathedral Monaghan for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Latlurcan.

Please note when attending Seamus’ wake, enter via the Cootehill Road and exit via the Ballybay Rd (route will have funeral signs).

The death has occurred of Seamus Murphy, Wyatt Close, Edgbaston, Birmingham, England and formerly of Adrumdoney, Scotshouse, Co Monaghan. Suddenly at his home on 17th December 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Katty and Tommy and by his brother-in-law Jimmy. Seamus will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family,his sister Maura,his brothers Philip and Jackie,his nephew James,his niece Liz, his aunt Lil, cousins, neighbours and friends.

May the gentle soul of Seamus Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Friday evening, January 17th from 5.00pm until 8.00pm.

Removal from Lakelands Funeral Home, on Saturday morning at 11.00am, to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Scotshouse, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
