BTYS success for Breifne College trio

Smart Mart is already used among savvy consumers in four stores across Cavan.

Three sixth year students from Breifne College in Cavan Town have achieved third place in the Technology senior group category at the BT Young Scientist Competition.

Their Smart Mart is a project whereby customers can go into a supermarket, scan a product and find all of the products in store.

The idea was created talented trio Diego Laricchio, Andrew Agnew and Noah Murphy who have now received due recognition for their innovation.

Placed in the Technology section of the BT Young Scientist and technology Exhibition, their Smart Mart website is now live and aims to help consumers navigate their way through a store.

Smart Mart is already used among savvy consumers in four stores across Cavan; Ballyhaise Pharmacy, Centra, O’Connors Hardware and Killarue Interiors.
