Drugs worth €16k seized in Ballyduff

A man in his 40s has been charged following the discovery of €16,000 worth of drugs in Ballyjamesduff.

Gardaí in Co Cavan seized suspected MDMA, cannabis and amphetamine with a street value of almost €16,000 during a raid on a property in the town on Wednesday.

A shed at the property was searched and more than 1,000 ecstasy tablets; 158 grams of cannabis; 93 grams of amphetamine; 52 grams of cannabis resin; and other drugs paraphernalia were seized.

Investigations are continuing and the man is before the courts.
