It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan as reported on RIP.ie over the past few days.

Michael (Mickey) Maguire

Killatain, Carrickaboy, Cavan / Crosskeys, Cavan

Michael (Mickey) Maguire, Killatain, Carrickaboy, Co Cavan Wednesday November 6th Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.Pre-deceased by his infant son Mark, brother Andy, sisters Mary and Ann, parents Dan and Mary.

Sadly missed by his son Declan (Michelle), daughters Caroline (John), Avril (Mehmet), Donna (David), brothers John, Donald and Philip, sisters, Julie and Kathleen, grandchildren, Natasha, Nathan, Ellen, Carley, Mark, John, Keith, Dean, Ben, Sheemia, Craig, Ryan, Amy and Allie, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road Cavan on Thursday from 5.00pm until 8.00pm. Removal on Saturday morning to St Matthew's Church Crosskeys to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00am, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family Flowers only please donations in lieu of flowers to Palliative Care Team care of Declan Finnegan Funeral Directors through the donation box or any family member.

Noel Murray

Portmarnock, Dublin / Monaghan

Murray, Noel, Portmarnock and formerly of Mall Road, Monaghan. 4th of November 2024. Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Clare, devoted father to James, Alison and Jennifer. Noel will be very sadly missed by his wife, children, son-in-law Colm, his adored grandchildren, Emma, Sophie and Aisling, his sisters, Catherine and Miriam, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Stafford’s Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock on Thursday the 7th of November, from 3pm to 6pm. Removal to St Anne’s Church, Portmarnock on Friday morning, 8th of November for 11am Funeral Mass followed by burial in Balgriffin Cemetery. House strictly private. Donations, if desired, to Irish Cancer Society or St Francis Hospice Raheny in lieu of flowers please.
