Kyran Durnin disappearance: Gardaí to search house and garden in Dundalk

Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Kyran Durnin (8) have begun to search a house and garden in Dundalk, Co Louth.

It comes after gardaí took possession of the property on Monday after being granted a District Court order.

“That house will be searched and be subject of technical and forensic examinations, as will the garden and adjoining ground to that house,” An Garda Síochána said in a statement.

“The purpose of these searches are to discover any evidence which might provide us with information as to Kyran’s current whereabouts or what has happened to Kyran.”

Kyran was reported missing from his home in Drogheda, Co Louth, to gardaí on August 30th. He is now presumed dead.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

The probe is being led by a senior investigation officer based out of an incident room established at Drogheda Garda Station.

Tusla, the Child and Family Agency, is working closely with and fully co-operating with the Garda investigation.
