The Cavan Business and Tourism Awards 2024 are as far away as ever yet their impact will live on in the awards proudly hung around the county.

The best of the best gathered in the Slieve Russell Hotel on Friday (October 18) evening with eight category awards and four special awards up for grabs.

The Overall Cavan Business of the Year was awarded to Elegant Gems, Peter Scanlon’s bespoke jewellery enterprise which serves the county with hand-crafted, custom pieces with ethically sourced gems and diamonds.

The Spirit of the Awards went to Aoife Smith from Natal Fitness, who really captured the essence of what the awards are about with her incredible energy and dedication to helping mother’s across Cavan and neighbouring counties.

The Outstanding Achievement Award was presented to Noel Tierney for the services Multisound provided to the town over the years, while Kieran Callaghan was given a Lifetime Achievement Award. The current chairman of the Cavan County Board for the GAA began Callaghan Electrical with just himself and a van in 1996, an idea which grew into an enterprise employing 80 staff, including apprentices.

Each category award showcased the thirty two personalities beyond the business and recognised the impact their entrepreneurial spirit has had on the Breffni county.

For locals and tourists alike, esteemed awards such as Best Business in Cavan, Best in Customer Service or Best Tourism Business boasts the credibility of the winner's enterprise.

A fantastic night of celebration of the best in Cavan’s business and tourism was had by all.
