BEST IN TOURISM: Fully booked at the Bailie Hotel

The Bailie Hotel has quickly become a cornerstone of tourism in Bailieborough, consistently drawing visitors from near and far. Their unbeatable value rates, friendly and professional staff, and warm Irish hospitality offered are at the heart of why guests keep coming back.

Owner Austin Kelly, a Bailieborough native, is especially proud to be bringing tourists and visitors to his hometown after purchasing the hotel last year. He’s deeply committed to showcasing the charm and warmth of the town, and together with his fantastic team, he’s dedicated to offering an unforgettable experience to every guest who stays at the hotel.

Communications and Digital Marketing Manager, Kate Scully, said the staff are the “backbone” of the hotel, providing “top-notch service”, “great food” and a “welcoming” atmosphere that keeps guests talking about the Bailie long after they leave. She gave special acknowledgment to the entire team, chefs, Delia the manager and receptionists Alex and Andrea, each of whom were named by guests personally in their reviews.

“Since opening their rooms last March, we’ve been absolutely blown away by the response,” Kate reported.

Guests from all over the world including America, Canada, Australia, Europe, and Ireland have been giving the Bailie “glowing” reviews, with many rating them 10 out of 10.

“This summer was a record-breaker, with full occupancy every night,” she said, adding that their Canadian guests have “already” rebooked for August next year and are recommending us to their family, who will be visiting Ireland in the months to come.

“The ongoing demand shows just how much guests appreciate our mix of great service and unbeatable value,” she said.

A huge part of what makes The Bailie so special is their commitment to locally sourced ingredients.

“We’re proud to be part of the Created in Cavan network, ensuring that our menu showcases the finest produce from the area,” she said, adding that this “not only” enhances guests’ dining experience but also brings business back into the local economy, supporting farmers and suppliers across Cavan.

She described being nominated for the best tourism business in Cavan as a “true honour” and thanked Cavan County Council, the Tourism Board and The Anglo-Celt for their support.

“We’re excited about the future and can’t wait to welcome even more guests to Bailieborough to experience all that Cavan has to offer,” she beamed.
