So says Ruth King of Silo Clean Ltd who insists the quote “encapsulates the spirit of our business” and the opportunity her dad seized over 51 years ago when he founded the successful cleaning company.

Ron Tidy started out cleaning windows after a holiday from West London to Cavan in 1971 and, for over half a century, the entity has operated as a family business. It now employs close to 60 people locally.

“The business operates on the values that my father instilled in us from day one,” says Ruth before adding that being nominated for a business award “is a great honour”.

This also recognises our hard work and the deep-rooted family values that have shaped how we interact with our clients.”

Meanwhile, the family business is driven by the success of its clients. “They come from diverse industries including commercial, milling, bakery and pharmaceutical, across the whole country, and many of them have entrusted us for over 40 years,” adds Ruth.

“The services we offer are office and industrial cleaning and what sets us apart is our commitment to personal service. We have over 200 clients and none of their sites are the same. Each one has its own unique set up, and this is why we tailor our services to meet their specific needs.”
