EXCELLENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE: Making memories at the Olde Post Inn
The Olde Post Inn, which is owned and run by chef Gearóid Lynch and his wife and front of house manager, Tara Lynch, celebrated its 23rd year in business last June.
An award-winning restaurant and wedding venue, it is located in Cloverhill, County Cavan.
The business employs 18 people and is a quaint 200-year-old building with cosy, intimate surroundings and open fires that fuse with the finest of modern Irish cuisine.
The grounds and property provide the perfect, picturesque venue for timeless wedding photographs and a place where cherished memories are made.
Laura Pepper is the restaurant manager and says everyone is “delighted” the business has been nominated for a customer service award.
“We believe customer service is a cornerstone of the dining experience,” she said, before adding that once the Olde Post Inn’s customers arrive at the door they are made to feel welcome and greeted with “warmth and genuine hospitality”.
“Our team is trained to meet customer expectations. We anticipate the needs of each guest, which creates a personal experience for everyone that comes to us. Both front of house and the kitchen teams are dedicated to ensuring that each visit to the Olde Post Inn is a display of our committee to quality.”
Meanwhile, the Lynches have made significant changes and refurbishments to the Olde Post Inn over the last 23 years. Regardless of the task ahead, they remain focused on the end goal - the creation of a warm, welcoming ambience for diners and guests.
“It’s a place to enjoy; a place where people can relax and catch up with each other,” explains Laura.
“Birthdays, weddings, christenings are just some of the many memorable occasions that have taken place at the Olde Post Inn with wonderful memories made.
“We are continually working in the background to ensure that we provide as much attention to detail as possible. We are very fortunate that over the years we have had young staff, some of whom started out with us while they were still in school. Some have gone on to study hospitality but, without our team, none of what we do would be possible and we are very grateful to all of them.”
