Co-founded by Evan Roarke and Kealan O’Connell, Nualach Automation is an automation machine builder and service provider which prides itself in turning complex automation challenges into solutions.
The company delivers “turn key solutions, machine upgrades and production support” for large multinational companies and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Ireland.
“We design, build, commission and CE certify automation solutions for a range of companies,” explained director Kealan O’Connell.
Kealan explained how “in less than four years” the company has grown from himself and Evan working in the evenings and weekends, to a “10-person staff business” and a turnover of €1.2 million this year.
Nualach Automation also recently moved to a new building with a custom, fit-out work space and office space for its “growing team” in Virginia.
“We have delivered a number of machines to world-leading medical device companies,” said Kealan, naming Medtronic and Abbotts in Cootehill among its client list, with “opportunity” inside such companies “increasing".
“We have handpicked key employees from past working relationships to build the company to be able to deliver high-quality machines and services to our global customers.”
The types of machines that Nualach Automation deliver includes precision testing, camera inspection and verification, robotics machine tending and assembly stations, end-of-line packaging and existing machine upgrades.
The business also recently hired an experienced business development manager with over 45 years' experience who is based in the UK.
“His experience is in global sales and marketing,” Kealan outlined.
“We look to grow our business both nationally and internationally and establish our own range of standard products,” he shared, outlining how Nualach Automation has recently designed and built its first product, which will go into production next month.
Through precision machining, manufacturing and smart robotic technology, the team design and build bespoke automation requirements for businesses. Machines are tailored to suit specific production requirements.
