'Seisiún for Susie' this Friday

A 'Seisiún for Susie' will take place this Friday (October 11) in Ballyconnell.

The musical event is being organised for retired Ballyconnell GP Dr Susan Cosnett, who has a rare form of Acral Malignant Melanoma and is seeking help to go to Holland for treatment.

The fundraiser will take place outside SuperValu from 3-7pm with music from local Comhaltas groups and Irish singer songwriter Brendan McCahey, who was crowned winner of series three of the talent competition The Voice of Ireland.

Dr Cosnett (62) is trying to raise €173,000 for the treatment. The fundraiser currently stands at just over the €150,000 mark.

Organisers of the event encouraged people to come along and support the cause.
