Andrew (Andy) McGoldrick

Drumbrohas, Belturbet, Cavan

Andrew (Andy) McGoldrick, Drumbrohas, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, died 20th September 2024, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Annastasia. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, his wife Mary, daughters Patricia (Michael), Anna, son Andrew (Fiona), sister Elizabeth, grandchildren Caolán, Dean, Evan and Killian, brother-in-law Sean, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Andrew will be reposing in Lawlor's Funeral Home, Erne Hill, Belturbet (H14 R583) on Sunday evening from 6pm until evening prayers at 8pm. He will leave his residence on Monday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Staghall, Belturbet (H14 E045) for funeral mass at 11.00am with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Charles Reilly

Killygrogan, New Inn, Cavan

Charles passed away suddenly but peacefully surrounded by the staff at Virginia Health Care Centre. Predeceased by parents Charles and Bridgid, brothers Peter and James, sisters Mary and Ellen. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his nephews Jim, Ollie, Charles, Kevin and Michael, his nieces Breege, Veronica, Bernie, Liz and Christine his cousins, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Charles has donated his body to research and a Mass of Celebration of his life will take place on Saturday the 21st of September at 12 noon in St Dympna’s Church, Upper Lavey.

Betty McGowan (née Reynolds)

Cullyleenan, Ballyconnell, Cavan / Leitrim

The death has occurred of Betty (Bridget) McGowan (née Reynolds), Cullyleenan, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan and formerly of Blessington, Co Wicklow. Predeceased by her infant son Ronan, parents Delia and Francis Reynolds and siblings Peter, Michael, Paddy and John.

Betty passed away peacefully on Thursday, September, 19th in the wonderful care of the staff of the North West Hospice. Greatly missed by her beloved husband, Máirtín and adoring family Martina, Niamh, Brendan, Mary, Ceola and Nessa.

Sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Caren, sons-in-law James, Gus, Seán, John Joe, Michael, her much cherished grandchildren, Conor, Laura, Ríon, Ronan, Caoimhe, Seonaid, Oisín, Ronan, Seán, Caitlin, Cianna, Liadán, Finn and Cera, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Lawlor's funeral home, Erne Hill, Belturbet (H14R583) on Saturday evening, September 21st from 5-8pm. Removal from the McGowan family home in Ballyconnell on Sunday morning to arrive at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes (H14 HN52), Ballyconnell for Funeral Mass at 1.30pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Aiden Rehill

Townparks, Ballyhaise, Cavan

Aiden Rehill Townparks, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan and Department of Agriculture, died Thursday, September 19th, Peacefully at Monaghan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his beloved parents Sean and Liz, sister Fidelma and brother Eddie. Deeply mourned by his loving brothers Kieran and Raymond, sisters Annaelene and Yvonne, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, aunt Carmel, his cousins and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, tomorrow, Saturday, from 6-8pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 12 noon in St Mary’s Church, Ballyhaise. Interment afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery Castletara. Family home strictly private please.

Rosemary Sullivan Fehr

Stamullen, Meath / Julianstown, Meath / Dublin / Cavan

A Memorial Mass and gathering for the family and friends of Rosemary will take place at 11am on 12th October in St Patrick's Church, Stamullen, Co. Meath. We wish to remember and celebrate the life of a much loved mother and sister who died at her home in Solothurn, Switzerland on 17th August, 2023.

Rosemary will be sorely missed and never forgotten by her grieving sons Bernhard and Lee-Owen, brothers Tomás (Tom), James and Patrick, sisters-in-law, nephews, cousins, and all who knew her.

Bee (Sabina) Derrick (née Grantham)

Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Bee (Sabina) Derrick, Weston-Super-Mare, Bristol, England and formerly Foxfield, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan on the 19th of September 2024. Peacefully, in England, surrounded by her cherished family.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her beloved family, her adoring husband Mike, her daughter Emma (Vinny) and her son Paul (Evanna), her much-loved grandchildren; Sam, Adam, Ciarán, Asha, Elise, Euan & Luisa and her great-grandson Tommy, her brother Nigel and her twin sister Denise, her extended family and friends both in England and Ireland. Bee's funeral will take place in England at a later date.

Seamus Duffy

The death has occurred of Seamus Duffy (Duffy Oils), Longfield, Castleblayney, Monaghan and formerly Teer, Crossmaglen, Armagh on Friday 20th September 2024, suddenly at his residence.

Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Anna Duffy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Yvonne. Remembered with love by his sister Geraldine (Pat Hanratty) and brothers Malachy (Eileen RIP) and Sean (Joanne), his nephews and nieces Francis (Roisin) Hanratty, Gerard (Ciara) Hanratty, Ciaran Duffy (Trish), Annmarie Shevlin (Peter) and Christina Duffy (Decky), Seainin and James Duffy, his brother in-law Terence McManus (Lisa) and sisters-in-law Annette McHugh (Martin) and Jane McKenna (Patrick), nieces and nephews in-law, Sheena and Caireen McKenna, Pauric (RIP), Raymond and Micheal McHugh, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Seamus will repose at his residence in Longfield, Castleblayney (Eircode: A75YT61) from Saturday 21st September at 12 noon and Sunday 22nd September from 12 noon. Seamus’ funeral cortềge will leave his home on Monday morning 23rd September at 11am to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Castleblayney for 12 noon Funeral Mass. Kevin Hand

Carnowen, Smithborough, Monaghan, H18 XD72

The death has occurred of Kevin Hand, Carnowen, Smithborough, Co. Monaghan (H18 XD72) on Thursday 19th September 2024, after a short illness, peacefully in the excellent care of the staff of the intensive care unit, Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Kathleen and much loved father of Patricia, Anthony and Raymond (Ciara), Kevin will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, daughter, sons, daughter-in-law, cherished grandchildren, Éala, Éirinn and Blaithín, sister Anna, brother Eamon, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours, many friends and by all who knew and loved Kevin.

Kevin will be repose at the family home Carnowen, Smithborough H18 XD72, on Saturday (21st) and Sunday (22nd) from 3pm until 9pm (family, neighbours and close friends at all other times please, including Monday morning). Removal on Monday morning at 10:15am to arrive at St. Mary's Chapel, Magherarney, Smithborough for 11am funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Please note there will be a shuttle bus will be in operation, wake times only 3pm to 9pm, parking at Magherarney National School car park.

Mary Keeshan (née McAdam)

Aghaboe, Laois / Ballybay, Monaghan

Mary Keeshan (née McAdam), Aghaboe, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, and late of Drumar, Co. Monaghan, died 19th September 2024, unexpectedly at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents George and Nan McAdam, Drumar, Monaghan. Sadly missed by her loving husband Padraig, son Aidan, daughter Annette. Deeply regretted by her husband, son, daughter, grandchildren Donnchadh, Conán, Oisín and Caiden, daughter-in-law Fiona, son-in-law Daniel, sister Teresa, brothers George, Pauric and Philip, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home in Aghaboe (eircode R32K5C7) on Saturday evening, September 21st, from 2pm concluding with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Sunday morning, September 22nd, to St. Canice’s Church Clough, for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. This will be followed by Burial in Aghaboe Cemetery.

Malachy Woods

Drumfaldra, Latton, Monaghan, A75RC84

The death occurred of Malachy Woods, Drumfaldra, Latton P.O. Co. Monaghan on Friday 20th September, peacefully in Mullinahinch Nursing Home surrounded by his adoring family. Pre deceased by his loving wife Mary, brothers Gerry, Farrel, Sean, Brendan, sister Mary and his parents Francis and Margaret.

Deeply regretted by his much loved family, sons Malachy, Johnny (Eimear), Gary (Michele), Derek (Aisling), daughters Marcella (Jim), Jacinta (Joey), Angeling (James), grandchildren, brother Laurence, brothers in law, sisters in law, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Remains reposing at his residence A75RC84 , today Friday from 5pm until 9pm and tomorrow from 4pm until 9pm. Removal on Sunday afternoon to St. Mary's Church Latton, arriving for 1.30pm Funeral Mass. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Annie Tully

Scotstown, Monaghan

Annie Tully (nee McEntee) on 31st August at her home, 25 Elfindale Road, London SE.25. Late of Scothouse, Co. Monaghan. Died peacefully surrounded by her loving children. Predeceased by her husband Charles, siblings Charles, Pat, Michael, Peter and Evelyn. Greatly missed by her loving sons Brendan, Kevin, Gerard and daughter Morag, grandchildren Dean, Shaun, Anna and Tommy and great-grandchild Tayden. Sadly missed by her sisters Margaret (London), Eileen (Dublin) and brother James (Ennis, Co. Claire).

Funeral Mass will take place on 23rd September at 11am in St Thomas Moore Church, 280 Lordship Lane SE22 8ND. Cremation to follow at Honor Oak Crematorium, Brockley Way, London SE4 2LJ. For those who are unable to attend the funeral, you may watch the cremation ceremony online.
